Alabama (Alligator) Grandma’s Tomato Pie

Ingredient’s:

Tomatoes (too mostly fill the pie) (doesn’t matter which kind of tomato, whatever you have on hand)

Mix the following ingredient’s together:

(1/2 C Mayonnaise

3/4 C Parmasean

1 C mozzerlla

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 C. chopped basil or 1 T dried.)

  1. Slice tomato’s into biggish pieces. fill pie crust leaving just a little room for the topping, the topping will mound over a little.
  2. bake at 350 degrees until nicely browned in a unbaked crust and until crust is done.

note: recipe is for one pie.

This is one of my favorite recipes from my Alabama Grandma, and is also one of her favorites too. She cut the recipe from a magazine over 20 years ago, I don’t remember which magazine though.
